MILL SHIFT BOSS 

  • Qualification: Completion on Secondary 12 year education. 
  • Supervises the activities of mill operators assigned to his shifts, including monitoring total mill operations covering adding and mixing chemicals solutions, separating solids and solutions, carbon in pulp, advancing loaded carbon, etc. and ensuring that milling machinery and equipment are operational at all times. 
  • Directs the activities of personnel assigned to his shifts 
  • Reviews previous shift’s logs and hand over notes. 
  • Discusses problems, if any, with supervisor, agrees on solutions, coordinates with maintenance and others that may be involved to carry out the required work. 
  • Monitor mill operations including milling rate, addition of flotation’s re agent, concentrate pull-out, disposal of tailings, etc...  
  • Ensures proper supply of carbon and cyanide for carbon in pulp, and that PH in leaching tank is maintained at the proper level.
